Freedom's fingers slide over mine, caress my hand and lure me in. I've dreamt of this, I've dreaded this, I fight to keep my self-control. Freedom grasps me with deep desire as my breath is drawn in and my heart sets on fire. His lips on my lips and I'm lost. I'm lost, I'm lost, I'm lost and on fire. I'm lost in a world of careless embrace, in free fall and free love and I'm free from your face. Now freedom still holds but there's terror inside me, terror of you and of him and of me. I look in his eyes and I know I'm not free. |

Freedom comes with a high price sometimes and not many are able to harness self control long enough to think. Then again, sometimes we can think too long and then the moment is gone. As they say, "Life ain't easy". Helen |

Which of us is really free. We are bound by the choices we make. Freedom is nothing else to lose. We cannot know the outcomes of our choices. Still, we must make them. Your poem provokes many thoughts. |
