It was a precious moment to cherish, A moment when love did exist; But the fate of love was meant to perish, And weaknesses' could not resist. It was a time of foolish dreams, An a portrait of emptiness, The uncharacteristic schemes; A feeling of amorousness. T'was a wish above all wishes, It was torturous to the heart; A bouquet not meant to flourish, It was as precious as fine art. T'was a mysterious moment in time, But enchanting bells were not meant to chime. ~Victoria~ Be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes. |

That last line nearly knocked me out of my chair, Victoria. The rest of the poem was brilliant in the leading up to the knockout punch. I'm adding this to my library . . . ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I guess we haven't lived unless we've been through the hurt of love. I think I would rather have died than live if you know what I mean. Good poem, Victoria. You got it all exactly right! Helen |

You do have a talent. I like your style! My wife and lived o the farm. There is not much time for romance working the farm which is a 24/7 job for all the people that live on it. And then we had kids too. A corporation now owns that farm, and they hire people to work it. We live in town now. My wife is ill, and I am retired to care for her. We lay on the bed together and talk of times past, those who are gone that we knew, and guess at how the kids are since they never tell us anything. Is that a kind of romance-I hope so. |

Yes that is what you call true love. When you don't hear from your kids its a good sign that they are doing okay. Its when you hear from them there is usually a problem. Nice to hear from you this morning Mr. B. ~Victoria I was adored once too. |
