Cup, after, Cup
(from Faces of Love)

My hands long for the warmth  . . .

of a steaming cup of coffee,
to start my day.

But alas . . .
though the pot's perking
I'll have to wait.

The day grows longer,
longer still,
with each burbble it makes,

and my hands long, evermore,
for the warmth  they missed

while I slept . . .

while you slept . . .

and they yearn to touch that warmth
again,

Cup . . . after,  Cup.

it seems to say so uch more than coffee...enjoy the "feel" of this
