I-padded lightly finger moist,
through applets, plenty,
too much choice.
I've piqued my Pinterest,
poked and swiped,
de-faced, de-friended
daily life.
I've tweeted, twittered
filled, My space,
Blogged, v-logged,
bid out, in haste,
depleted Pay Pals
cash reserve.
I really am
an angry bird!

My battery power
screams 10 percent,
Inbox empty,
Hot spots spent.
Oh silent Siri hear my plea,
my portals down,
can't Google.....me.
I'm disconnected
all alone.
But wait..
How novel,
Use the phone!

Is this heaven?

shoeless Joe Jackson.

Great read! Few people seem to use their phone as a phone these days. Instead, it's all about texts and Facebook.

Eureka!

And very timely for me, personally. I spent the other night hiding in my dark room from parades, masquerades, and all other manner of abandon--watching Sense and Sensibility, wistfully yearning for the days when parchment, quill, and a butler might convey an invitation.

A precious poem, which gave me much to ponder.

I thank you as I exit, grateful that people can't yet teleport themselves into my space screaming, "I'm HERE!!!"

Nicely done.
