Before you read, see my inspiration at: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap110202.html Above a shroud of mystery sun's glow begins its rise Beneath the pillows' fluffiness stir beings no less wise That just above the seeming void lies beauty quite crystal clear Should they venture heavenward would find a slice-illumined sphere. From a lofty perch atop a hill or higher yet, an alpine plain Venus and moon would greet them fine above the threat of rain. Yea, no dampening of spirit will occur above these clouds Rather a livening of well-being will elate most any crowd Come see the beautious heaven; break through billowed shroud Praise the Lord of Creation in silence and aloud. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Ah, I don't need to look at your photo to see and understand the gist of this poem, VAS. You vividly present to the the reader a wonderful kaleidoscope of visions and scenery. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Thanks you two for such high praise. God's wonderful creation inspires endlessly. JP I do hope you dropped in to see the photo, though; it's such a gorgeous scene. It reminds me of a favorite memory a great many years ago, more than 3 decades, in fact. We had been shrouded in cloud cover for 3 weeks or more, and it seemed like 3 months. We drove toward a town 75 miles away and on the other side of a mountain pass. As we approached an area called Deadman Pass, the fog became horrendous. We struggled to see and then burst through to glorious, almost blinding sunshine. It was fabulous the remainder of that day until we had to sink back through on the return trip. It was quite an analogy of how God holds the future and its beauty even when we can barely find our way. |

I did go back and checked out "Moon and Venus Over Switzerland." It was very impressive, I grant you that, almost Poeish in my opinion. I, too, have taken photos and built poems from their content. The photo, as I said, was impressive to the nth, so too were the words you gave us. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
