I offer a sacred rose
of cardinal red petals
and I place it upon
the altar of the heavens
with an everlasting
waterfall of perpetual stars
forever to bloom with eternal buds
forever more, forever fragrant
forever love.

I like the theme of this, the sacred rose.

I think the word you actually want is "altar" of heaven rather than alter, which is to change.

Thanks for stepping and posting your piece. Hope others see it, too, since it's in here in my post.
