Consilience Walk a deep-forest path where only shadows follow, tumbling along with our dreams. Listen for the ‘voice’ of the changing seasons. Taste a crisp-bright moonlit Winter night. Dwell upon the world suspended, in a single drop of dew or the astonishing artistry of a fleeting flake of snow. Contemplate a sea and sky of infinite motion. Let your mind range far and wide with the ever-rolling clouds. and be at peace with all for we are one with the universe. --- b. e. adams (1/17/2013) |

This is one of those poems I just had to read aloud. You derive so much more of a poem if read aloud, and your poems get read aloud quite often, Bruce. There is so much depth and inner peace to this grouping of words that if I wasn't careful it would have brought me misty-eyed. These lines started it off and the ones which followed were just as captivating . . . quote: ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
