This poem is about my dad and is eccentricities. "MAY THE BIRDS BE WITH YOU!" He has a strange sense of humor And he stated things quite peculiar He told tall tales and sang old songs Lives in a world in which only he belongs Never knew what he would say Or how he'd greet the day "May the birds be with you!" "Have a special day too." Are a few things he would say And you can make of it, what you may Most would laugh at first Some would think the worst I would think of Bluebirds, to sing Of the happiness they would bring To put a song in someone's heart What a great way for the day to start "May the birds be with you!" Do you now have a clue, Has the meaning come unfurled? He's wishing you happiness and all that's good in the world! |

Kitty Cat, I think this is absolutely delightful (and, of course, being an owl, I especially love the expression)! How lucky you are to have such a father and I am very happy for you. I would love somebody to say that to me. If you and your dad don't mind (and I am sure neither of you will, especially as I am going to quote my source), I am going to find at least one person somewhere, some time, to say that to - somebody not only worthy, but also who will understand and most of all appreciate it - and I will choose that person/those people carefully. Owl - Glad you liked my Dad's quotes. Go right ahead and pass it on! My Dad will be thrilled that he inspired someone. May the birds be with you! Kat >^..^< |

Great song, with a message of another built-in. Love is the key to living, and when it comes natural, all the better! Beautiful sentiment. JL ![]() Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

Aaaah! Somebody said it to me! Thank you Kitty Cat. Beeeg smiles. I wasn't hinting. (I don't ever - I choose asking outright over hinting.) I have found my first person to say it to! I told you I would choose very carefully! Kitty Cat, may the birds be with you!!! Owl |

And "may the birds be with you" Katahdin, all of your life. Lovely and I will adopt his words as frequently as I say "good morning". Thank you for this lovely share. jo |
