 The leaf stopped briefly on its way down the walk Pushed by wind that traded its breath for legs It looked at me and I looked back It met up with a Snickers wrapper and they flittered, on their way Any way, blah blah blah What I really want to tell you about it is I’ve had a lot of company this week who made themselves, at home I never even invited them but they kind of enjoy, surprising me once a year or so They’re cute that way Funny how they really can’t stand to be more than two nano meters away from me at any one time So they’re all nestled up nice and cozy In my lungs You know how relatives or fish, either way, after three days even under the best circumstances start to kind of, smell Well that’s these guys too Hey who are we trying to kid here They basically smell like an anchovie’s butt in an outhouse On a tuna boat! Any who I’ve been sending them off bit by bit after being here, all week making all kind a ruckus and whatnots With you know, a polite but deliberate, Aaahh Hoummmm! Actually it’s more of a gut retching hack that could shake a maggot of a gut wagon, but, you get the picture Thank god all the families that preferred to stay upstairs are finally leaving too, albeit much too slow pokely Yes there’s, The Drizzles, and The Dribbles and The, Sniffles and The Honks, The Sneezies and The Weezies, and The Woozies and The Konks Who by the way this time really did, konk me out Oh yeah I almost forgot that this time around they had their German and Mexican friends with them too The Gesundheits and The, Jesus Maria’s My gosh I almost forgot their Danish contingency as well, The Flems I mean who could forget, Goober and Booger McSnottroket Bunch of hacks Ahhh yes, it was regular international affair this season Well they can all just get along now with Ma and Pa Tooey from my throat as well I guess I am fortunate in a way That The Splashes and The Plops, didn’t accompany them this time And all their little, squirts as well Who yes actually do like eating Hershey bars And always manage to leave a little, Skid mark on the highway before they leave Screeeeechhhh They’re fun All in all it really wasn’t that bad in fact, it was pretty sick! Thank god for air travel How lucky am I that they all, flu in |

haha thanks Victoria yeah I'll wear gloves and a mask if i review any of your poems even lol its been a week now and this is the sickest ive been in a longgggg time.. yes you better stay clear or you might get.. AhhhhChoooo.. sick too.. oops sorry, too late lol  |

Funny guy.We all seem to have been fighting those nasty bugs around here and all over the country and Canada it seems. No one likes it but we are hospitable and try to keep them all entertained.I went from cutting kleenex into little squares to stop the nose from running all day.I finally realized how foolish I had been and now just have a roll of little squares that were always right there in the bathroom all the time. Now both desks have a supply and my bedside table and bath room too.Hopefully that will solve the hanky relief brigade and the pennies spent on them. Bless you and take care, jo |

haha oh my gosh Jo all those pieces of tissure paper, yes i know what your talking about, my nose fell off a couple days ago so at least i dont have to worry about wiping or blowing it anymore haha.. yeah this is a real bad one going around, and all over the country too, i just read that this years flu season is already 3 weeks ahead of schedule, yay. ive been laid out all week and my lungs are just filled with, who knows what, so much that my stomach hurts from coughing so much, ickkk.. well anywho, thanks for your note it brightened up my day.. i do feel better than yesterday so thats good, i only have to get about another 4000 percent better to get back to normal.. wash those hands frequently, and get that flu shot, thats an order! haha.. |

cute one I am still debating on the flu shot (only because I have another health problem at the moment and am not sure if it will cause me more of a problem) so I am staying in and away from people until I feel a bit better. you know Maureen ive never got a flu shot ever, i really should though, obviously.. feeling a little better than earlier in the week but still pretty horrible.. i think im going to go make me some homemade Campbells chicken noodle soup haha.. at least its warm and i think i need that right now.. yes you be careful and try your hardest to not kiss any sniffly looking fellows as much as they'd like to hee hee thanks for the hug, im feeling better already.. |
