. There are Three white crosses Just beyond the curb On old Ridge Road We pass them by On our way out of town Off on a trip to Michigan To view the scenery And dine on fine cuisine The autumn fields Are sunlit brown Here and there a wooden barn Against a pale blue sky Your long blond hair Is all I see Your voice a spirit I never expected to hear I drive the car Oblivious to where Or who I’ve been before There’s only you And no one else .
