Shimmer For the sake of loving you true, I will shake this weather into shape I will take flight through your gilded gate in the name of your sun and my moon I will melt your frozen December into shining June. Take out the needle cold fill up your honey in my soul see all there is to see in layers of meaning and beauty all the color in the slightest glance lay down your cards and take a chance this is the moment I've been sculpting to be shimmering in the air and submerged in your seven seas For the first time lonely is here but I will fumble into the light I will stumble out of the darkest night in the name of your star-filled sphere I will handle this load coming down 'til the end of fear Take out the stabbing night fill up all this wonder just right know all there is to know in hues of this stunning afterglow all the world is a glint in your eye jump up and say everything in a sigh this is the momentum I've been looking for shimmering in this destiny knocking on my heart's door Dreams...they're only sketches of my mind printed in bold strokes of imagination love...it's only a mental block that shines firing up the engines of my elation shimmer in shades of blue and black, an adoration that I will never take back, for you, my dear for the first time happiness is here For the sake of loving you true, I will....oh yes I will shake this body into shape soar proudly through your gilded gates and in the holy name of your sun and my moon I will inch a little closer and bask in the warmth of you. Oh I will, yes I will shimmer for you like a perfect star straight out of the blue. "Negotiations & love songs are often mistaken for one and the same."--Paul Simon |
