Amaryllis - A lot of people don't like these Mourning Doves but I think they are very funny and I love they way they coo! Thank you for your reply. |

Diversity...a coo of a different sort...out of chaos order comes...a new "society"...the odd dove out...where is the odd dove, today...as the world turns! When will democracy, recognize diversity? |

Marti, I thought I had replied to this one - I must have read it when I had no time! I love the poem and the picture and the replies and the repartee – giggles at Jimmy and you – enjoyed both RV’s replies – but, my personal (as humble as I can manage) opinion is that the little sweetie-pie on the right, wasn’t anti-social or planning a coup (giggles), but was just temporarily wanting some alone time as he/she either wasn’t feeling well or was sad about the passing of another dove – or had been hurt by what one of the other doves in the picture had said – I don’t think he/she was sulking – he/she doesn’t look the type to sulk – I think he/she just needed a wing around his/her shoulders and a sweet cooing in his/her ear, and I choose to believe that just after you took the photo and had left, one of the other doves gave him/her exactly that and that he/she soon felt fine and joined the others. Thank you for enriching my day. Owl |

I love the photo and the thoughts expressed as each one read and posted. I am more inclined to see a lady stag line. Waiting patiently for the one male to make up his mind. Each hopeful and praying, "please choose me". I have Doves in my yard and I love the subtle blues and grays. I never mind the cooing it perks up the day. Enjoyed, jo |

It also reminds me of life in Florida. Older women out number available men five to one. So if you go any place where there is dancing this is what you see.LOL jo |

Giggles at both your responses, Martyjo! I love them - perhaps that is just the moment that Marti caught! I agree with you about their cooing and their colours, too - so peaceful and communicative. Owl |

Nice write, and photo. I can relate to the "anti" (sometimes ya just gotta be... unlike). JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

I just love all your responses. Owl, you outdid yourself and I could definitely related to your reasons why the Dove is apart from the others. BTW, this picture is one I took outside my kitchen window. Hugs, Marti I do the MS Walk everyday!! |
