My garden is marching into fall faded blooms search out the sun and new buds will their way knowing their time was fleeting and their glory days are few. There are yellow roses in all their beauty rising to the occasion one last fling letting them be. Remembering where we began they are the first and last in my perrenial garden of verse as love blooms so does it settle in keeping still in the winter. There is comfort in knowing that time does not want nor does it take away love is fleeting and freeing in it's honesty even it it doesn't flourish it never withers. |

There’s something very wondrous how petals and pain grow on the same stem, and when the blooms do eventually lay still on the ground, the thorns stay put, looking down and waiting, for their sweet beauty and fragrance to embrace them once again. Thank god for our memory so that we may have the reflection of flowers in December. I’ve always wanted to give a special lady two, pretty roses each with a note. The first one saying, to the woman I love, and the second one, to my best friend This was simply lovely Lori Yes, how great that beautiful things like this, truly never do wither |

quote: The whole poem was a wonderful compliment to your subtle, but knowing take on life, i.e., love. I just love this, especially the last two lines. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

"My garden is marching into fall faded blooms search out the sun and new buds will their way knowing their time was fleeting and their glory days are few." That stanza is a real summation of age, my friend... loved the overall piece, but that in particular. Always enjoy reading you... j. |

Very well done. My pansies are still trying to grow, but the rest are gone for the season. Sad, but, oddly, still starkly beautiful. A |

"love is fleeting and freeing in it's honesty even it it doesn't flourish it never withers." Beautiful distinct expression from its title, but simplifies the meaning even for me to understand. Such beautiful heartfelt words, Blues. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

So very beautiful, dear Lori, in its sweet melancholy. No, love does not wither, when our hearts tend to it. Hugs. Margherita |

quote: A beautiful expression with an amazingly strong ending, showing that for all the fragility of love, it truly can never be conquered. Liked this one a lot. Michael |
