I believe that I had the good reflex,
along the sixth deserted avenue
at 7 am in the morning, I realized
that a man observed me,
changed pavement as me,
got closer with certainty, a man
who apparently had an objective,
to steal me, I made the only reasonable choice,
I signed a taxi and returned
to my little hostel, 14th street.

Enjoyed...one night I thought two guys were going to jump me and another man from the other direction came walking around the corner just at that moment and I continued on my way...James

I agree - great little slice of life poem. Glad you were smart and glad that I was smart to come in and read your poetry. I always do read it.
