I stepped through the fight of the right to see your heart watch the patio as it set against the sun under the faintest shadow I wonder if your blouse still rings through the fall if the barriers of your hips fall to the ground under a a Baltimore light It feels like November all over again you and your lips riding the winding road Anna, came around once a season she use to watch the canals rise when her fingers would begin to shake She wasn't sure if it was her place to call her name out into the sky for the beautiful rendition of the poem her mother use to recite to her Was one step behind her childhood one step below the dress that use to rise between the summer dew Please remember Anna remember the sunny heels that flashed their tips against the reign of the sun Anna remember the words of the night November, again |
