Hello to all my old friends! I've been gone from here for much longer than I care to admit due to life and inspiration, but I am back for a moment and am thrilled to see some of you still here while deeply missing my friends who have passed...I offer you my latest work, hot of the press, and look forward to reading more from you soon. Enjoy! ---------------------------------------------------- Across The Span Of Time (Part-I) Copyright 2012 by: Mark V Sheldon My carriage without hassle Delivers me before The Barron’s renowned castle Beside the massive doors The butler bows and points the way I shed my cape and cane Looking forward to my stay And comfort from the rain The chandeliers all glisten With sparkling candlelight The nobles speak and listen To the music from my right I step across the marble floor Into the ballroom bright And from the stairs that stand before Held captive by your sight A duchess of such beauty With aura which commands Attention from the guests and me With no need for demands Your eyes find mine and lock in place A surge of power felt Mesmerized by intense gaze I feel my world melt Before this moment, on my mind Were business matters and Affairs of money -- not the kind My heart feels are at hand Through the crowd, you make your way To stand in front of me All eyes on us, while murmurs say What’s obvious to see Attraction like a magnet’s pull Where all else fades away Desire like a wild bull So hard to keep at bay I lift your hand and place a kiss Upon the softest skin I introduce myself, and this Is just where things begin… You CAN make a difference, but first you should learn how: http://educate-yourself.org/intro.shtml [This message has been edited by MARK V SHELDON (09-09-2012 06:34 PM).] |

I'm sure your old friends will soon come to pay a visit, and I hope you don't mind my intruding, but I read your first installment and had to comment. You have a fine hand in the art of rhyme and the setting up of a epic journey through love's wilderness, pitfalls, sweet kisses and caresses. I look forward to the next hot off the press "Across the Span of Time." ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Ah, you sure know how to set the hook, and I'm a sucker for a good ol' fairytale romance. Heading to the next part now. Michael |
