She she is gone forever taking the sunlight. my prison now is wandering the soft darkness of these 'endless' hills alone with only the sharp-edged memories of her smile. ‘Love’ should not be so fragile, indeterminate, and as transient as the morning mists of Summer passing … into the Winter of the soul. --- b. e. adams (9/1/2012) |

Ah, but love is all that you say, Bruce, and even more. It gives you such a feeling of intense appreciation of the loved one it is hardly bearable. Unfortunately, as I have said, it is also all that you say. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Bruce, so often it is the most transient that is the most beautiful, the most breath-taking, the most precious, the most treasured . . . Owl |

My heart hurts for you...I was sure you had found the woman of your soul...Your poem tells how deeply it feels...I agree love should not be so fragile...sending *BIG HUGS* with the hope they help a little... *may our dreams ever be magical* |

Oh, but this love still inspires you beautifully, Bruce. As long as your memories are "sharp-edged", you keep it alive. Romantically gloomy. Margherita |

This......took my breath away. The beauty of your words is lovely, and yet it makes my heart ache and hurt so bad. |

as the morning mists of Summer passing … into the Winter of the soul. Super lines, fine writing! "The secret behind survival of mankind is kindness and love within our hearts" |

Thanks to all of you fine folks and v. talented writers who have been so kind with your comments along the way about my ever-most-humble 'scribblings.' I'm not sure I 'have it in me' to do any more ... I've become one of Mr. Eliot's 'hollow men' ... I hope all of you will write on though! |

‘Love’ should not be so fragile, indeterminate, and as transient as the morning mists of Summer passing … into the Winter of the soul. How very true... how beautifully written!!! |
