HITCH A RIDE ON A SHOOTING STAR I'd like to hitch a ride On the tail of a shooting star To see the sights of the Universe A voyage so vast and far! Just imagine all the fun I'd have Traveling from Neptune to Mars Flying thru the Solar System Visiting all those stars! I'd blow a kiss to the man in the Moon Is that a grin on his face? Wave goodbye to planet Earth As I zip out into space I'd flirt with Venus Give her a playful wink Mercury is the hot one Too close to the Sun I think Orbit the Red Planet We all know as Mars No little green men there Just a few roving cars I'd jump over Jupiter Take a swing on Saturn's rings Spin around Uranus See what Neptune brings Hover over Pluto Ask him to play Watch a SuperNova Then be on my way Say goodnight to the Milky Way Catch a ride on Solar Winds Aurora Borealis to guide me Back to Earth where my journey begins [This message has been edited by katahdin (01-22-2012 11:36 PM).] |

This is wonderful and would make a great children's book. I'd buy it for sure! A |

Thanks Alison, that's not a bad idea! I already have one childrens book out called "Firefly Lullaby" which began as a poem here at PIP. It should be availble at Amazon soon. If not yet, then at Xlibris.com for anyone who would like to check it out. Kat >^..^< [This message has been edited by katahdin (01-22-2012 06:26 AM).] |

What a wonderful journey you took us on, and I agree with Alison, it could be turned into a children's book. ~*~ I gave up feeling guilty just to survive a long time ago ~*~ |

I went diving for a moment and I am so glad I did, as I found this enthralling and joyous poem that is totally after my adventurous heart. Wonderful job! One day it will be possible, I have not the slightest doubt. We are bound to pierce the existing boundaries ... Very inspiring. Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |
