Your image isn't being displayed?? But your poetic genius does. Loved it! JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

Ford, I was about to tell you that I couldn't view the picture - I thought it may just be me, but I see JL also can't see it. Although I can't see the graphic image of the trees, the verbal image is breath-stoppingly exquisite. I kept re-reading it in its shades of silent, silver-grays reaching up into an embracing gray sky, because I didn't want my mind visuals to stop. I will come back (probably much) later once you have fixed the picture to see it, and to gaze at your trees several times more. Trees depicted as birds - what could be more down my alley - or rather, up into my sky! This is minimalist poetry at its pinnacle. Owl |

Ford, your first choice of picture must have been SOME picture, because this one is feather-soft beautiful and seems to have been taken specifically to compliment your poetic gem! Owl |

I've thought of many things when viewing leafless branches, but never barb-less feathers. I envy you that thought. Very, very well done! And photo fits perfectly. j. |

Hello, lovely... How did I miss this? There is such a simple beauty in a landscape of leafless trees; in the hush of winter. This is perfectly suited for a haiku, Ford. Beautiful...I miss the winters. |

My goodness (as if I had any) These replies are very important to me, each alone, and as a group. Thank you all, very much. I have a hard time with this form, and it takes me way longer to write than rhyme, or other types of verse. That's why replies like these are so wonderful...:-) |
