Uploaded with ImageShack.us and what will be my last poem what will be its subject maybe . . . She was tall, willowy fiery red hair eyes the color of jade a mouth made for sex or something like . . . 'Twas a full moon behind an overcast sky creating faint illumination, making the barn visible. It was in that direction, along the rutted road through the pasture that he decided to walk. a furnace burns inside of me words are literally burning to death in there feverishly I labor to save those I can and those saved give birth to a litter of new words words I don't know but are begging for acceptance and space in the last poem . . . Our Father which Are in Heaven why do young children have to suffer and die? They aren't sinners, they don't know the difference between right and wrong, why are they put to the sword? And don't start in about Original Sin, THEY AREN'T SINNERS! Oh, it's because of the sins of their fathers Gimme a break. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

I know this litter of letters... and words, and why some will be birthed, and others, abandoned...like effervescent dreams... I love this poem. Going into my library NOW! "The business of the poet...is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things." Thomas Hardy |

Thought provoking, Jerry, and that inner urge is so well expressed. In my opinion God wants us to remember our original INNOCENCE, those disturbing theories about original sin are men made stuff. But the tranquilizing answers about suffering are missing. In this world of duality we couldn't recognize joy without its opposite ... hey "give me a break!" ... Good stuff, Poet. Margherita |

A different take on the question, Margherita, and one that I like. It will be incorporated in the book when I start the third draft next Monday. Thanks. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Well said, Jerry. I agree with Margherita about finding our original innocence but from experience I reckon there's not much place for that in this world of ours. One finds great difficulty in relating to others from that standpoint. I find it most frustrating that as long as we live we will not find the absolute truth. I know you are a thinking man so thank you for taking us along with your thoughts. Helen |

Appreciate your words about the poem, Helen. Yes, it is a frustrating situation that we will have to live our lives without knowing, really knowing, the answer to our questions. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |
