Note what I exaggerate and what I choose to minimize, for all of it is pure and true encoded in the craft of lie-- the truth is what you recognize. I am rubber, you are glue The words you hear pertain to you. Didactics, oh! Semantics, no? Would you prefer a pretty pun? Did no one ever tell you, love, don't stare directly at the sun. My wiles are not bewitchment nor are they wisdom waiting for a thimble and a needle's thread with tiny exes sewn in stead of my wagging finger's dread upon a pillow on a bed made up as if no one had slept no guilty signs of passion kept in the tussle of tossed sheets stained in places indiscreet. Perfection does not comfort me. I much prefer the smells of life that stack of flat pillows are mine each one dented and depressed betraying my heart's restlessness from all the nights I fought myself in worry, longing, and duress headaches and the nervous twitch of legs so tired that they flit my eyes still throbbing from the squint of memories and dreams cross-stitched upon my pillow's dread. |

You outdid yourself, Lady. This poem was chock full of finger-pointing disdain. I loved it even better on the second read. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Your talent is showing again, Karen. I wish I your ability to reach so deeply and reveal so honestly. Ida |

Dear Karen, What images you weave if efforts not to deceive. Smitten am I by the evidence the pillow belies. So very well done. ![]() If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |

I absolutely adore the flow and playfulness of this, even if it is "pillow talk". Enjoyed. -Trina |

Though I hate the promptings of such a piece, I have to tell you you are at your absolute best when you write like this. Stunning work all the way to the scorcher of an ending. Loved it. Michael |

My Karen...Could you please write this in English, so I might understand it, OH never mind to understand you would take away half the fun of trying to get inside your head. You know what I mean. Enjoyed very much...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |
