Today, more than ever,
infinity held you
in the blue of my summer sky
and I dived upwards
from the tallest tree-top
and flew
with you
around you and
into you flying
into me.

I've heard it said that flying is the safest form of transportation, but I didn't know it came with fringe benefits like this

much to be said about a feeling that is capable of lifting one off the ground, or even gifting them with wings... This is lovely.

Giggles, Michael. "So much depends on" (as William Carlos Williams said about a red wheelbarrow and white chickens) one's inspiration. I am very lucky to have the inspiration whom I do.

I am sometimes amazed at how such few words on a page causes me to become excited, and sends me into deep thought..

I see you, and the other rising..."turning and turning in the widening gyre"

And then the locking of talons, in a love embrace, when the center seems to not be able to hold... But it does...

I have seen the great birds of prey join like this in a mating ritual..they fall and fall,
but lose their grip, and cirlce again..

In my opinion the exileration they feel is shown in your poem..

Another thought is how love is a form of pure anarchy...at times there are no rules, and when each loves each...anarchy is pure bliss..

I'll shut up now..and just say that your poem was very enjoyable......:-)

Ford, what a beautiful response! I - and so will he - love that you saw us as birds of the air "turning and turning in widening gyre." I love what you said about my poem and the images and exhilaration it brought to you. Thank you for enjoying the poem.
