Sleep comes again to settle the state of one who weeps but again the dream comes marching through the veils of consciousness. Stirred awake it’s not to say she no longer weeps but her focus now enlarged encompasses this “double-up”. Weighted she’s a woman, maybe you, maybe me, rationalizing, justifying, and trying to explain how dreams intrude and supersede yesterday’s dismay. But finally and indubitably one deep breath and shrug of shoulders, flick of head, blows all the puzzle pieces out the doors and windows. She doesn’t rush to gather them because she knows like I do dreams are simply nature’s way of mixing up realities. Armed now with breath, head/shoulders straight and un-weighted with that dream she turns to face the rising sun sure again that dreams aren’t real! Helen / 18 June 2012 |

Dreams are not real? Ah, are you sure, Helen? I believe they are an extension of life, and unlike your shadow just throwing light of it won't make it go away completely. Daydreams can reach out to you also. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Such a heartfelt poem...I believe in dreams coming true...They give me hope for something better...Your writing always gives me a full picture of your vision...Hold onto hope for better dreams...*BIG HUGS* *may our dreams ever be magical* |

Thanks, Jerry and Startime. I am now absolutely sure that dreams do not come true and if they are an "extension of life", Jerry, well, I'm not interested in that. It's the here and now that's important - HA! - even if it isn't. Helen |
