Dream Versus Reality I dream of sharing moonlit walks along a mountain forest path Reality is the absence of someone to share such a dream I dream of gazing at the stars and wishing on the first I see Reality is wishing stars are a child’s tale to make them smile I dream of dancing in moonlight to songs of natures serenade Reality is few can hear above the noise of modern life I dream of a sunlit romance as spring turns to summers’ promise Reality is that people forget true loves’ simplicity I dream an understanding man to share all my magical dreams Reality is do I search in vain in a harsh pain-filled world I dream, I dream in sweet slumber weaving visions that fill my soul Reality is I Believe Dreams Win versus Reality Karen Mc Neil June 13, 2012 *may our dreams ever be magical* |

Oh, yes, dreams might win versus reality, but it is difficult to snuggle up to dreams . . . On second thought it isn't all that difficult after all, it's all according to who or what you might be dreaming. Dreams do come true I have been told. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I believe that what seems very real to us right now was once a fantasy and that a fantasy is in a since “real”. Reality is thus a product of fantasy and that a fantasy can, given enough time and cultivation, will come real, just as living plants will, given time and cultivation, bear fruit. It is said that the inability to distinguish fantasy from reality is a mental illness. This may be so, but to me nothing can be real until it is first fantasized. Why, I had to fantasize about coming to Colorado long before I finally got the opportunity to move to Colorado and without this preexisting fantasy nothing could have happened. Thow he never speaks of it, this goose sometimes has a “Karen” fantasy. She is indoginous and an inner figure (the inner feminine) who brings me love, laughter and consolation in a sometimes too harsh and painful world full of emptiness, that the arms and bed of this goose need not be empty. And so, since this goose is crazy and can’t tell the differentce between “fantasy” and “reality,” he sends wonderous and passionate hugs to the star of Karen. (But don’t tell anybody:----------) Jaime |
