* The fluffy white cloud shows its lovely shape, then quickly it dissolves and disappears, apparently leaving no trace at all as it mingles with the vast blue sky. Just like your beloved smile for so long predominant reason for joy, which now slowly fades away losing its radiance and its charming contours within the mists of time. And yet my eyes and my heart had witnessed both the loveliness of the cloud and the luminosity of your smile as blessed and precious gifts of life. Will the vast sea of memories swallow my mind’s treasures? Or will they pop up sometimes upon the crests of cheerful waves like eternally recurring dreams? Life is a never ending dance beauty is revealed in every single step along the trails of impermanence. The accompanying music may change, but inspirational music it remains. * |

I love that word, impermanence, a high-sounding mouthful for a disappearing of wisps of clouds or humans who find a reason to fade away. Beautifully told is this poem of things which are impermanence. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Isn't it interesting how music marks the special events in our life. A song begins to play... memories are awakened... we dance once again. Love your poetry, Margherita! Ms. E |

White fluffy clouds always makes me happy, can't really choose my favorite lines. Such free flowing lines. Enjoyed all of them, Margherita. "The secret behind survival of mankind is kindness and love within our hearts" |

We've been having those the last several days around here --- I was in Riverside, Ca. last week to visit my son and family and saw nothing but clear blue sky - especially at the March Air Base air show . . . which I really enjoyed. Good write, my friend...may all your skies be that way... j. |

Thank you, dear Jerry, for your loving comment on my little attempt to speak about "impermanence". I want to see it as positive, for "things" can't remain static, it's not in their nature ... (even though change may bring along melancholy). Thank you so much for your sigh, dear Karen stargirl, your perception of new beginnings is perfect. Dear Edna Ebonygirl, thank you for your most loving comment and yes music is the "fil rouge" of our dancing through life's changes. Thank you so much, dear Prasad, for your loving comment. Yes, the observation of those beautiful fluffy white clouds is quite mesmeric ... it inspires contemplation of life. Dear Yann, I enjoyed your loving comment very much, thank you for feeling the warmth beyond the touch of melancholy. Dear Chourouk, thank you for enjoying this too. Looking forward to your first poetic offering. Welcome again on Passions in Poetry. Thank you, dear Jimmy, for your kind wishes and for sharing the beautiful memory of your recent visit to your son with me. Would have loved to see the air show! Love and joy to all. Margherita |

"Life is a never ending dance beauty is revealed in every single step along the trails of impermanence. The accompanying music may change, but inspirational music it remains." I love that verse because it's such an appropriate ending for such well written verses. Kinda reminded me of an interview I saw on TV where the interviewer asked Chuck Berry. "You must be very pleased with all the songs that you've written that have become hit songs?" Chuck replied, "Yes, I am pleased but I also know there's nothing new on this planet and things just take on different forms of appearance." I liked the humility of that reply and I appreciate this writing of yours. Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |

Dear Eric, I see we were on this thread at the same time. That's nice. I much enjoyed your generous and loving comment and the story about Chuck Berry. He was so right and yes also humble (what a fine quality in any human being!). Music is our salvation I dare say ... and even if there is nothing new in a "new" melody, our perceptions are always new and fresh. I think I am going to find some Chuck Berry song right now ... Lovely poem, Margherita. We may not remember the exact contours of "a smile" but we'll certainly remember how it made us feel. Yes, definitely a life of impermanence. Love Helen |

Dear Ruth, thank you so much for your loving comment. Yes, changes may hurt, but we still have the memories to cherish. After all, all of our experiences are blessings in a way.
