What bill is this that comes payment due, Not just one, but quite a few, To save a life is a priceless deed Though it causes your bank to bleed. Whoa, Whoa, oh whoa is me My life slides into poverty, I work a life for a honest pay And then it’s gone in a single day. What fee is this from an unknown place, Added on with lack of grace, Aspirin cost ten buck a pill, It cost too much to become so ill. Whoa, Whoa, oh whoa is me My life slides into poverty, I work a life for a honest pay And then it’s gone in a single day. What life is this now left to fend Which brings me to my money’s end, All savings gone away to bills It cost too much to become so ill. What good is health they tried to give If afterwards there is no funds to live What need is there for the best of care If it leaves you in the grasp of despair. Whoa, Whoa, oh whoa is me My life slides into poverty, I work a life for a honest pay And then it’s gone in a single day. Gloom |

Ah yes, we're left afloat in a hole-burdened boat... Well done, Professor. I've missed your poetry, but you have not lost your beat. ![]() |
