An Ode To Balladeer

Let the waves of his artistry resound
through hourglass sands of poetic feat
a rich breath of treasure there to be found
in his rhyme and verse of gifted elite.

Aye, the ink is gilded through his finger
one that leads the soul through introspection
to swing on his sage branches which linger
that he is a painter of perfection.

Let his wit enthrall our innermost light
regale his height of word and Epopee
let his pen enlighten the dark of night
and decree the door that unlocks the key.

Let not the tides of time erase his voice
nor lessen the mighty sword of his quill
that our eyes and mind shall sail in rejoice
to find love and verity in his spill.

He is the master of ballad and sense
the inspiration of our hearts revere
in confluence within his sapience
awestruck in the musings of Balladeer.

Dedicated to Michael (Balladeer),

Well, most of that might be true; but we need to ask Toerag for his opinion.

Not far behind for sure, Lindsay....actually right there alongside me!

Thank you, Melissa! We have known each other for so long and our friendship and mutual appreciation is a wonderful thing. Why can't I be younger?????????????????

It's a beautiful poem and I appreciate it, and you, very much.

Hear-hear! A glass is raised in the Bards honor, as well as, to this fine piece of writing.

I read this the other day...and was smiling then, as I'm smiling again.

He's a great teacher. Teachers need to be old, don't you think?...before we really listen to them?

You did good...

He taught well!
