Dream of me as if I was real Touch me so that I may feel And know about life When all things right, My lips do knowingly unseal Open arms and that look in your eyes Lifting me up to heights so high Body being disengaged, Leaving one so aged Floating corporeal, like clouds in the sky Protect me from myself today No matter the words I say Nor the flesh you touch Could ever mean so much Unless I was gone away Parted lips and moist by far Wherever our broken bodies are You try to insist Nothing exists, Until I show you all the stars Teach me more than I thought to learn So that I could teach you in turn Together on fire Still higher and higher So that we, as those very stars, shall burn |

I'm shaking my head that your poem hasn't received any replies yet! This is so beautiful but also tinged with sorrow/brokenness that can be healed through love's combine; I love the imagery and metaphors you use, you express yourself so eloquently and your poems alway end so perfectly and powerfully! |

Now, Mellybee...you know sometimes we just need to have a moment to sit..and read... and respond. But I'm glad you brought this back to the top...where it should be. |

Heartfelt words linger here. The inner solar system is breathtaking. |

An excellent read and write. Thanks for sharing such efforts. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
