A traditional easter dinner spread out on the lovely cream-colored tablecloth I bought my daughter for Chistmas. Family gathered around the table when pleasant conversation is suddenly interupted. The table is shaking, the chandelier overhead swinging back and forth. Another earthquake! And yet we are all calm and at peace because we're all in one place... together. Not to be alone in such moments is a blessing I think, dear Ida. I thought of you, when I read that there had been an earthquake in Sacramento. Stay safe and write on about your life, I so love to read you, dear Poetess. Love, Margherita |

We were very worried about some of our family members as well who live in El Centro, but, thank goodness, everyone's fine, and, anyways, getting back to your poem, I really like the sentiments you've shared here in regards to family. Good job, -Bob |

No matter the circumstances the spirit of Easter will live on and provide families a chance to share and to love. |

...we were all together except for my son and his family in Moreno Valley, Calif. While still feeling aftershocks he called and told us about it (his first). I had to laugh at the telling. I was in the Hollywood area when the one in the 60's hit, and was thigh-deep surf fishing in San Diego the first time I ever felt a quake (scared the hell out of me)...your write called it right. j. |

You've done a good job with this. I remember the first earth quack I was in and how frightened we all were. Thank goodness for family. Billie C. |
