RSVP to "Man is an over-complicated organism. If he is doomed to extinction he will die out for want of simplicity. (Ezra Pound (1885-1972), U.S. poet, critic. Guide to Kulchur, pt. 3, sct. 5, ch. 19 (1938).) Resentful, cast their shadows always Passion is never on their side They kill and pelt things beautiful They wonder why they can’t write Beauty is something not for them They have lost their God I can only hope for peace to be their whole |

Hi Laverne, I enjoyed your poem. Man is by nature a complicated creature, mind and body, and while "simplicity" is a wonderful ideal for poets and dreamers, the lack of its attainment doesn't necessarily belie the path to continued existence, but I should add that inner peace, and contentment of heart is a worthy quest for all. Regards -- Art |

There is a need to return to simplicity, I agree. When we are really conscious of the beauty of this world we will be able to preserve it and to praise it as it deserves. Your words are powerful and significant. Love, Margherita |
