The majestic mountains so tall and grand Beauty from afar as they tower to the sky Treacherous steps that lead to the top You have given me such a mountain to climb To love you a daunting task so it seems The heartaches and perils that prick the soul Your mind on the path, never knowing where it leads A challenge even for a heart that remains bold My life is sometimes in such frenzied disarray From the what ifs and maybes of my mind But with eyes steady on the path that I seek I promise this mountain somehow to climb Never to forsake you, best friend of my life A goal i know to the end i can't afford to fail Your loving kindness brings joy to my soul Forever in each others heart we will dwell |

"...from the what-ifs and maybes..." if only we could be free from the what ifs and maybes. Loved the poem! |
