Perhaps As Early as June

Sometimes in the morning
I wake up thinking of you
and wishing you were beside me
so I could feel
the closeness of your presence.
At times you seem so close
and other times you
seem so far away.
Still I am gratified
knowing that I will
be with my sweetheart soon.
Perhaps as early as June...
