Bones drops off the bus bumper down at Second and Market. He walks up past City Hall at Broad Street, across the street and over to West Market Street. There are loads of penny arcades over there. Bones has coins in his pocket. He likes to play pin ball. He cheats. Bones carefully lifts the back machine legs on to his shoe tips. He can beat these machines for hours. Bobby |

Ha, ha, Bobby! Bones has to be pretty good; when I tried to cheat, the machine would go into "tilt" every time! I can really relate to this episode from some 50 years ago. Enjoyed --Art |

Thanks Art, You have the time right. I think the secret is not to be over anxious and cause the machine to tilt. Of course you have to be lucky too. I'm glad it brought back pleasant memories for you. Bobby |

My brothers and I knew countless tricks to get our hands on a few coins when we were kids. This brought back memories. Bobby. Ida |

This has brought back so many memories to me Bobby. I had a shop once with a pinball machine in it and was fed up with the young bucks trying to rattle the machine to get a pay out. But all's well that ends well and we do have a lot of fond memories. Lindsay |

Thanks Lindsay, I’m glad you have good memories of those days. My best friend and I used to sneak out of middle school, and go down town to play pin ball. My friend had fourteen brothers and sisters in school, and his mother always packed him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I was an only child, and my mother always gave me twenty-five cents for lunch. My friend gave me half his sandwich, and we split the twenty-five cents to play pin ball. Of course we tried to cheat as much as possible. You know how it is. Thanks for running a store like that. Bobby |

I like the unexepectedness (is that a word?) of Bones. I didn't expect this poem and I liked it. Just one more little insight into our Bones. xoxoox Alison |

Raising the machines up isn't cheating. It's creating the odds more in your favor. We did this when I was in high school. Except we used our books instead of our toes. At least those school book were good for something. |

With gravity on your side, who can loose? An enjoyable read. Been a while since I've read any Bones material, but then I haven't been very vigilant of late. I also know that Bones can be rather sneaky at times. Hope the holidays treat you and Bones well. Peace. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
