Like the fondness of an old memory I curl into the comfort you provide As I press into the length of you Thoughts released, race through my mind You’re the temptation of which I resent most Yet it is you, I am lost in the absence of Fallen to the persuasion of your incessant pull My thoughts, exist profound, only in your world Hope fights for acknowledgment In the forefront of my conscious mind To God, I promise gratitude At the loss of Morning’s burden, you leave behind I’ve grown to know you so well In the darkest depths of the night You know the most coveted of my secrets My most shallow fears, you’ve heard me cry Others float peacefully in dreams exempt of time As you tug at the bit of sanity I have lingering inside To your hold I fall victim, as it’s ever more tight Suffocation, inevitably, seems my future demise The delicate minutes tick ever so slow As they mockingly dance across the face of time Insomnia - I am your’s…. …as you are forever mine [This message has been edited by therightside (02-23-2010 05:46 AM).] |

I can relate. I love how you wrote it as a mystery and then at the end the way you revealed Insomnia. Brilliant. |
