“If,” a word to say the things we ponder The wrongs, the right, the day, tomorrow A dissect in mind to a perspective find, If: a word in distorted time. If… Are there two letters more placed together Spelling immeasurable possibilities? If? When I think of “if” Packaged without waste in only two strong but few, I think of he, me, we, Am… Be… Oh, it is The power of two. If |

Good to hear from you again, M~. I guess I have a different take on the word, if, but I see your point. It's very well taken. We can't live in the past. Initially when I wrote this, I was going to have only the one verse because it is the problem solving word I like to use when I'm in a box and can't find a solution. For example, when I paint, I talk aloud when I'm stuck and ask myself, "What IF I did... How would that work out?" The pronoun part, he, me, we, was an after-thought to the poem to stretch it out. I do like the word "we", though. I guess Thomas Jefferson did, too! There's something strong about We, the People. It makes me feel we can solve most anything if we get on the same page. It's always good to hear from you. I hope you are faring well in this wintry weather. ~misce |

I think of he, me, we, Am… Be… Oh, it is The power of two. If ~*~ What is nice about the word "if" is that it can be in present tense as well. Good food... Thoughtful... Fulfilling. Sending hugs to my northernly sis... |

nakdthoughts, I well imagine you must be exhausted with all the snow and the shoveling. Perhaps things will get back to normal soon. Until then... Take care, misce' |

Sunshine, Glad to hear from my Kansas friend again! I think about you and your writing often, wondering when I will have the opportunity to enjoy another of your wonderful books. How I admire a person who can imagine the makings of a book and then put it all together! Thank you for taking the time to visit. It is nice to hear from you. ~~~misce~~~ |

quote: Yes, they do open infinite possibilities. I see and feel it in your inquisitive, captivating words, dear Misce. If ... you let go of fear, you'll sail at light speed ... Wonderful. Love and hugs, good to see you here! Margherita |

I came back to read again... my grandmother gifted me with the poem "If" on my graduation so many decades ago. But you've empowered the imagination even more, my dear friend. |
