Iconic sparks of make believe shimmer,
in haloed streetlights windblown snow shatters
into microscopic glitter strewn by ice faeries
in their ageless quest to dazzle and beguile,
on magic promise highlights of glass slick road
shining without pretension Winter sprites laughing
with slim regard for fragile porcelain of life.

Beautiful, and crystalline... captures both the (sometimes misleading) magic and the danger of winter...lovely writing!

Ahhh, Word Jazz.

To mimic is a form of praise unless
you have no thoughts of your own

It's true with little regard
However, like you capture it here, such beauty in the way they display.

Good stuff!

I've been picturing you and the weather that inspired this poem's imagery.  Beautiful!  Happy new year, Charly!
