         untethered minds

Along the mystic course
set by time’s broad compass
in every crystal grain, snowflake,
or drop of water in the homeless
  sea,
the far-wide universe unfolds
for each untethered mind
in ever-cascading images
and random approximates
for our perceptions to complete,
and then transcend, the ‘reality’
of life's abyss.
