REIGN OF THE EYEBALL I reign as the eyeball. I’m bathed by tears. Bright worlds I image for Man’s mental gears to churn the depths where creative fractions give birth to Ideas made whole by actions. Glands in my eyelid above me squeeze their salty flush that bathes me clean of wind, of dust and dirt injections each time I blink, each eye deflection. But hearty laughter, anger and grief are emotions strong. They demand me release those glands when swollen liquid filled and erupt my tear gushing cascade spills to carry those feelings that make hearts stop to the exits of the Soul in each teardrop. They empty the body taking laughter with pain, love with anger and loss with gain. And the Spirit is lightened and finds its calm at the crossroad of tears where the blood slows down, where the heart beats quiet and the lungs breathe air, where the Soul rests cleansed of its trembling cares and the light through me brings a clarity of mind where tomorrow sips Hope from the chalice of Time. And I reign as the eyeball, the collector of light and the ejector of tears in the day and the night. Namyh |

Loved these lines, and it has been more than once that the cleansing of tears of the soul have kept me balanced. Merry Christmas ~ Mysteria ~ |

Uniquely, and nicely done, Namyh. To mimic is a form of praise unless |

Mysteria – I think you have made a very valid point. In addition to all the things tears do, they indeed help us regain balance after we’ve lost it. Very good Mysteria. Happy holidays to you too. Namyh |

Margherita - Amazing the things we take for granted like air, sunlight and eyeballs gently rolling in their perspectives. How often have we poets started out writing about one thing and ended up writing about something totally different. Well, this is one of them. They say never change horses in mid stream. To tell the truth, I like this second horse better. And your words evidence I chose right. Thanks Margherita for being drawn into this poetic spill. Giddyup horsee! Namyh |

JerryPat - Poetry has a very versatile voice. It can make the heart feel faint, excite all the body’s nerve endings or inspire an army to make battle and win victory. But aren’t we poets also fortunate that it has the ability to feed our imagination with insights which enable us to write the different. I guess poetry comes with its own kind of liberation that takes no prisoners but will set free the one in jail. Thanks Jerry for uniquely enjoying. Namyh |
