Happy Feet For Happy Ears Far up and down the rural street That freezing wind; while speedy feet Pass nimbly on, imprinting tracks Over a virgin snow that tacked Itself on the ground meagerly Rhythmically - a one, two, three Soft tempo measures from below Where ground and feet and snow Make music for the eager ears Of rabbits, birds and whitetail deer |

Reminds me of the snowy days growing up in Arkansas. Especially that whitetailed deer. I used to wonder, the kid that I was, how animals found things to eat with everything frozen over. |
