I posted a poem and decided I didn't like it so I'm going to redo it. Sorry I jumped the gun. [This message has been edited by JerryPat (12-05-2010 10:15 PM).] |

Ran out of milk for the morning coffee. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

That'll work for a clear consequence, Andrew. I would most likely think dark thoughts. Don't know what that says about me, but . . . . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |

Oh, it's just because I take my coffee with cream... otherwise I've got plenty of dark thoughts, well roasted and brewed. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Us? Them? It's all a Pink Floyd tune to me. But I don't mind hangin' out on the dark side of the moon every once in a while. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Hey, wait a minute. I liked your poem. It got me thinking. But you know what you're doing, so far be it of me to tell you what to post. Just so you know, I thought it was "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Hoping you do re-post it, J... I was so glad to see a poem from you with a title such as 'Peaceful Thoughts'... everyone deserves them. Not that the darker stuff doesn't need saying, however! We writers let it all out, hey... chaff and grain together. Be well, my friend~ Amaryllis A pile of scribbles here: |

Actually Amaryllis, it could have gone either way. I realize you are concerned with my dark poetry, especially at this time of year, that was why I decided to do a lighter one. . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |

Ah, it is all good...! Dark or light, I enjoy poetry, any and all. Far be it from me to inhibit anyone's writings! Let it out, speak your truth, and all that. We all have our own styles... you and I seem to be polar opposites, perhaps, but that is good, too, I say! Vive la difference Please write whatever you feel, whenever you feel, however you feel... without regards to my or anyone's concern... otherwise we cannot win that game... (the old 'can't please everyone, you just..have to please yourself' idiom)... it's truth, eh? ~A |
