Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2010-12-05 02:58 PM

A plaintive wail wells up within
The kind to a full moon must give in
Such solitary sorrow solar plexus kept
What torment there as I dreamless slept

That waking finds howl ready to throat
Remembering sisters of soul one now remote
The other years passed away from me
Howlers at the moon were we
Giving voices to our goddesses
Expressing our inner essences
I am...be!

Those are of times behind me
I was...been
Too long ago passed my friend

Perhaps she came to me in that dreamless night
Again we met as our essences bright
And in that dream not remembered
I was again myself unencumbered
Of self inflicted pain and sorrow
Only to wake and on the ‘morrow
Have nothing left me but the longing

This is a hurtful poem / Agonizingly hurtful. / Even with the longing there is sweetness in that if we but look.

Well done! Liked the feeling, content and form. Me? I'm an only child and was never a howler. But there were times I might of... Peace.

Shades of Ginsberg... with your own take... there's howl, and then there's 'howl', hey... I sympathize.

Best~
