Mornings I laugh at your mismatching socks
Midday I fancy your lips
Evenings I gaze at your pretty blonde hair
Nighttime I dream of your hips
This moment I’ve got you
Alone in my bed
I pretend that you’ll be there
forever.
I pretend “real housewives” is “gone with the wind”
And inch toward your breast, oh so clever

…………. RING.

This love unrequited it burns in my soul
The fire that fuels me burns out at the toll
Of your phone.
As you pick it up, my heart gives a sigh,
Grateful you can’t see the tears that it cries.
The fuel that ignites me does wither away
As I watch your lips curl, wondering:
What does he say?
Your eyes are ablaze with a fire that I know,
Yet brighter! More lively!  You are not alone.
Wordless, you stand up and walk out my door,
And again I decide I can’t take anymore.

Sounds like a lover's version of the old Catch-22 scenario. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Enjoyed.

Well, that's a real kiss off isn't it?

Well expressed piece Gabby.
Flows real nice and I was getting all excited and then over the cliff I went with you.
However, that's the point you're trying to get across, so I say, well done!!
