A poet collects a thousand thoughts
like a blanket of stardust
warm and beautiful.
Messages sent from faraway lands
embrace
the miles between us
above and beyond
the irony and awe
and simple twists of fate.
Touched by a tear
and a long distance sigh.

Love speaks for the heart
of the missing
fountains of youth
and wishing wells
where dreams fell
rushing
water
falls
in pools of blue.

Emotions surface
skirting
the edge of tide.
Listening for an echo
and constant continuity
tapping into our memories
weaving our way
with words.

As the pain and sorrow
of life's cruelties
ebb and flow
hard fought battles are won and lost
and something old
becomes something new again
unforeseen
closer than we dreamed.

Honest intentions
meant to last
settle into the crevices
of a poem at peace
complimenting verses
grace the flow
an endless stream
ever stirring
the need to feel.

"ever stirring / the need to feel."

That just about says it, Blue. The second verse was exquisite in its honesty. This was a beautifully written poem of words, poets, and love of life.

Like your new pic.

Bluesy -

"an endless stream
ever stirring
the need to feel."

What a perfect ending to a truly wonderful write.  The fires of poetic insight are burning well in your neck of the woods.  I know because I can smell the smoke way over here.

Thank you doesn't seem like enough, because it means so much to me to know you all took the time to stop by and read me.  Thank you always and sincerely.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and to those you love.
