IBack it Up! By Larry Chadwick In memory of Ginger Michelle February 19, 1974 - May 18, 2002 I’d like a rewind please. One that will take me back, To I remember when… If I could use it for just a moment, It won’t take me very long. I’d like a rewind please… One that can take me back, To I remember when… She was just sixteen. But if that’s too much trouble, I could use the rewind, For I remember when… She was just a little thing, A bundle full of glee, And joy that oozed all over. I’m sorry you don’t have a rewind, I was willing to pay most any fee, If I could have just one rewind, There’s someone I really longed to see. November 15, 2010 |

Eric, So true. And thanks for your kind words. Ah Karilea, Thank you. I was just reading up on those lessons the other day. My life is hectic these days. But I have no complaints. Kind Maureen, You are so right. We all have our own losses and it is nice to have your support. JerryPat, It was a delightful surprise to see your response as it was your poem about your daughter that was the seed for this write. Your story really tugs at my heart. I have experience from a divorce that limited my access to my children and created some insight into your emotions. Thank you and peace and courage to you. We make memories when we least expect it, and when we least expect it they come flooding back to us... if only we could live them over, instead we hold them dearly. Gosh, this is so touching, Larry, makes me remember fondly, and brings a tear to my eye. So so good to read you!! |
