Reminds me of napping on my Grandmother's outdoor swing, I loved the gentle sway, and yes there were buzzing little creatures that wanted to ruin it.....and still your poem triggers a wonderful memory. Happy Sunday, JP~ |

So glad, Blues that my discomfort didn't deter you from your own nostalgic treat. Thank you for stopping by to read and comment. . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |

He he, well, that took a turn for the worse. Remember Jerry we need all those little creatures for cross polination. Good stuff my friend! Eric |

How quickly we revert back to being human. I feel no connection whatsoever to spiders so I'm afraid they don't get a chance to hurt me. Bees, however, seem somehow to understand when I tell them to get lost. At the end of the day we have to live in the "real" world, don't we. Helen |

Nice write, Jerry! Brings back a painful memory.. When I was about 6, I was standing outside wearing a white t-shirt. A bumblebee flew up and landed in the middle of my chest. I looked down and was captivated at how beautiful the bee was with it's bright bands of colors. Then it stung me!! I felt really betrayed by the little bugger!! A life of betrayal has followed me ever since |

Betrayal seems to be part of living our lives, Balladeer, At least that particular bee won't betray anyone again. Thanks for being here. . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |

Strange how these things happen. I had the day off, the sun was shining, sky was blue and I had the mixings for martinis in my truck along with a couple of top sirloin steaks for the barbie. I was on my way to my cottage on Yo Ho Lake and everything was a buzz with the happiness of the day, when, one of those little buggars flew in through my open truck window and stung me right over the right eye. I had 10 miles to drive to finish the journey. I was angry and in pain and couldn't see out of my eye..... Godfrey!! that put a damper on the rest of my day. I know where you're coming from Jerry Eric |

Yep, that would most definitely put a hard damper on the rest of the day. Love the "Godfrey" word, and thank you for being here, Eric. . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |

Those bees were meant to sting, I guess Jerry. "Hardwork pays in the long run" |

I guess they were at that, Prasad. I was meant to kill them if they stung me. Thanks for dropping by. . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |
