Paper bag with gun, thrush's tail---songbirds happy at the water bowl! When I was younger she laid back upon a rock, before hard cold moons. Winter chrysalis--- I remember the Spring warmth: flowers, promises. A hart leaps across the path in front of me, and November makes sense. |
