Mortar and Pestle (to anyone who`s ever been either.) . . . . The tiny, pungent seed, dark with essence given her at birth, by the great Mother- she still has it, kernels hard within the tenderized core. Though heavy hands have pressed, have turned, have twisted- grinding fine, shell and all are dust now, just a powdered cinnamon or nutmeg, cardamom mysterious within her crucible of stone; still, the architect of alchemy can`t know: how the milling concentrates this oil, changed perhaps, but stronger, lighter- when lifted to the air, by breath or breeze. |

There is one thing about something ground down to its powdery substance, it can rebuild in any form it pleases. |

It is after one is crushed, when one finds true strength. Enjoyed this. -Trina. |

I have a weakness for pieces that are unique and quirky and tell me of things that I have never experienced. This is memorable. |

I reread this again. The mortar and pestle (to anyone who has been either) took me to a different place. If I read it that way I have been there. |
