Second Chance

She was always a ruby
I some rose colored glass, or

Gift me another
I’ll give it back to you chance

Proper he Dakota
Twin dialed and folklore met
He wondered
But never faltered

Together,

Folks wanted more
But never spoke their wish
Other than this is how
Things get done

Then left it to me.

Waywardly flashes
Cause skewed moments
To become circumspect to
Prying eyes who really don’t care

So let others pry oysters
Meanwhile,
I bled.

Some stones arise by quake
I rise again, unwashed,
Unencumbered

Whatever stone I might be
I am of fire
And brim
And light.

Ah, a fire, brimming light-show you are. I think that will work.

"Prying eyes who really don’t care

So let others pry oysters" . . . Loved this. Kinda is the tone for the whole poem.

Last stanza is just killer for me! And as for the rest of the poem it flows with the beauty that only you can pen. I love it! Eusta.

Caterpillar to Butterfly we all sometimes need a "Second Chance".

Beautifully written!
