When Bones was a little kid, about seven years old, he went to visit at a pal’s house. He noticed a big guy there. Being for ever curious, Bones asked his friend— “Who’s that?” Kid says, “why that’s my dad. Don’t you know nothing Bones?” Bones had to admit, he didn’t know anything at all about Dads. Bobby |

Good to read you again Bobby, so many kids have the same situation as Bones all over the world. "Hardwork pays in the long run" |

I have been waiting patiently for the return of Bones. This entry did not fail to deliver the goods. It is sad that `Bones` does not know what a dad is and had to ask. Remind Bones to check the archives to see the comments that he and his friends have received. |

Thanks Earl, A number of us have been in that same dadless boat with Bones. I had to ask too. Bobby |

You know, Bobby, I was just thinking that I have not seen your poetry for a while. I was going to email tonight and see if you are okay. Instead, I found your poem and am glad that I did. I like this one - and it makes me happy that you have been a Dad to your kids. Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you get time with your family. Alison |

Judging by my son's experience with his father perhaps Bones was one of the lucky ones - but no, I suppose even a bad one is better than none. Bones has been missed. Helen |
