For Francie It’s been hard, You and me. We both have baggage, We both are used a bit. We sure clung to Each other at the start, Both of us needing to Believe that life still Had something for us. In each other we found A haven from the past And the doubts it places In our hearts. We both have lived, We both have pain. We have scars that Seem will never heal. Over the years we Have had our problems, There have been times When we weren’t careful With our love for each other. Now as a result, We are in trouble, Our love is in trouble. That scares me. You are and always Have been all I ever wanted. I am asking you to trust us, Trust what we have been And can continue to be. It was right then, It is right now. Please, Don’t turn your back And let our love die. Tim |
